I *really* like this! There's something pleasingly architectural but organic about it. Ah, yes, stokes me fondness for Transformers. (I still have my Soundwave. Tell no one. lol )

I wish I could render like that, but photography will have to do.

Haha same here. I don't have time to study new programs and how to use them. I like photographing and have got many friends with it.

..first thought this was a 3d-work
It still is a nice one, but is that left hand blurred out digitally?
I can see it has been edited with Photoshop CS Macintosh but it doesn't tell me if you have blurred it or not..

I did a little dodge/burn on the white parts but there was no blurring added. That was just from the small DOF for such a macro close-up.

I really do envy your macro lens. Nice picture and like somewhere said earlier, the inclusion of shadow would have been awesome.
Good work

I love Bionicles, they're really cool. I did have a couple but I don't know where the hell they are anymore. But I really like this shot. I just really like how the black is dead against the white. It stands out a lot. I like how it's set up. It's really well done. Oh, and the focus. Wow, perfect focus.
Nice job on this

Thanks for the comment and +fav. Yeah the Bionicles are really sweet to photograph, they look so interesting close-up and different angles give totally different shots.
