Draw your Ballator with their best friend, lover, or closest companion, simply enjoying their company and being thankful for their friendship. Alternatively, you can draw your Ballator listening to words of wisdom from Regale about what he beleives truly matters in life: friends, family, and love.

  “Who are you grateful for? Who are you thankful for still being around?”

He flinched from the question. A mere month ago he’d would have trouble mentioning one friend, surrounded by trusted comrades that he had bled with, consoled with, and even won with. 30 or so days later, only one solitary ally came to mind.

  “Starscream.” Sure, it was his job to keep Starscream alive but he was still grateful all the same. “He’s been a…surprisingly reliable ally.” Really, the only lead stallion in the wild that wasn’t entrenched in highlord’s cults nor wasn’t automatically insecure that Behemoth would attempt to usurp.

  “He provides food and lands in exchange for my protection from his enemies.”So many enemies, nearly all of them driven wild by a personal vendetta against his benefactor. How exactly the stallion managed to cultivate both quantity and quality of grudges was perplexing but Behemoth didn’t bother asking. The draft mountain just needed to get the job done and that was hard enough with their disagreements on how to neutralize such enemies. The tactics that Starscream pushed turned Behemoth’s stomach, reminding him too much of the pits that he had escaped from.

  Those noxious suggestions would have soured Behemoth’s view on Starscream together but one action of the grullo kept him from judging him: At Behemoth’s weakest moments the other somehow saw through the ribs and the ineptitude and instead, focused on value or potential in him and offered this venture.

  Perhaps for manipulation or for more noble purposes. Perhaps this arrangement would be over by the first frost when food became more scare. None of this mattered to Behemoth. He needed to prove Starscream right. That there was still value left in draft stallion yet.

  Providing protection and hopefully peace to the twilight years to one so insightful and his family was a noble cause. Behemoth was grateful for this start of doing right, correcting his long list of wrongs.

And the other half of Beo's confirmation prompts! This prompt was absolutely perfect with the plotting that been going on with Beo's future and it was really nice to delve into how he would overall get along with his not-dad/boss as well as how he'd try to make/avoid making his whole usual moral judgements. Right now he can't just take on any more shame so moral justifications everywhere!

For the art itself, the idea was basically just Behemoth blocking off someone from Starscream (I originally was going to add a piece of prey to Starscream but posing just didn't work out)I had to redo this like five times simplly because as much as I love drafts, I can't draw them <_< I feel like I'm drawing giant ponies portions wise. One of these days I'll learn. I really liked how Starscream came out and the lighting in general. Felt nice to do a nice neon backgrounds again.
