Description
A face of contentment that only an owl can make, after eating an entire family of voles.Okay, I don't know if this snowy owl actually managed that. But he or she appears to be pretty content!
The irruption this year isn't quite as spectacular as 2014, and I haven't had any luck at Biddeford Pool. But, Rye Beach was a little more fruitful.

I keep seeing photos in the facebook MAINEbirds group, taken in Hampden, ME. Also have heard of others spotting them in Bangor, at Bid. Pool, and along seacoast NH.

Thanks for the tip offs. For now I'll have to content myself with a bald eagle and golden eagle that are hanging around the 'hood. Better than nothing I guess
