Today I've tried to check on Coalossal's nest, having a great opportunity
thanks to my own one, named Allyson.
You can see that the father of those future Rolycoly is a bit unsure
what to think about me and someone new with me, but luckily he trusts me enough to let us do it.

Together with Natalie, my new friend, we were waiting till Allyson
will be sleeping deeply, so she won't feel upset if not angry at us...
If you have read Coalossal's dex entry, you know they can be aggressive
and Ally is new to my team, so any caution is necessary.

We don't like to play with fire....or stones falling from above
that are very hot and erupting from Coalossal's coal hump.

It's unbelievable that Coalossal's nest burns inside
like a real coal!
I wonder how the eggs can survive, probably they have very hard,
yet breathable shells. And why are Coalossals so aggressive if the nest is burning hot inside?
Well, that is because on the outside there is a thick layer
of ground which isolates the eggs and it's just warm to touch,
not burning hot feeling to the hands.

I guess many Pokemon target Coalossal's nest not only for eggs,
but for great incubation properties, so this is why an adult parent
with add their own burning coal regurarly inside, so any "rogue eggs"
will get just fried as a punishment.

Trivia: one of my headcanons is that there's around 5-10% chance
that an egg will be of father species. Now the problem is,
how such 1 out of 15 eggs of different species is not going
to get fried?

I think that the mother can feel such difference and move the different egg
into separate, "cold nest".
