Love the ground texture, for some reason it drew my eye first.
Nice character, I see nothing wrong with the gold except it's VERY bright.

Another gorgeous character, but I think the problem you have with the gold parts is because they're too shiny in comparison to the gray background as well as the other garments.
It means that the lighting isn't realistic, that's why it seems to be a little off.

If I could do color, I'd like to think that I'd do it like this. The vibrant life you bring to it, gold staff obviously adding to that, is brilliant! The warrior is there, right in your face, separate from the background and uncluttered. And I love that your warrior is wearing such great clothing. Does anyone else get tired of the 'half naked' fighters out there? Like that's not inviting the bite of a sword. That's saying nothing of the stance, the beat of the staff compacted with the quick step forward. Great movement.
I wish my hair stayed in place like that. This person is someone I'd want on my team, that's for sure.

wat do u think could have been done better?
The only thing I could see as better is the left hand. It looks a like the fingers aren't curling around the pole.
Besides that, I believe it looks pretty good. ^^
