I wanted to try and paint Harry Potter as how I had imagined him from the books. ^_^ And needed some Photoshop (CS4) practice.This turned out much better than I had hoped, though I had started this portrait with something much more "painterly" in mind, but, alas... I'll just have to work on that some other time.
And he is a bit effeminate, yeah, lol, but I guess I like to think he looked like his mother in some ways - not just his eyes.
He could use some more work... especially in the scarf, and his hair could definitely use some highlights, I know, but his glasses just had me so worn out! Ahh... I almost gave up on them, but I finally got them to look... not too cruddy. ^__^

wow, is all could think for a moment. i just found your gallery and you have some amazing peices but i really love this one! your take on him is wonderful and this colouring is just though you could argue that the hair needs more texture and highlighting i think it suits this peice and creates a nice contrast to his pale skin. i would love to see you do this with Malfoy! or maybe remus, or sirius! haha, but thats just the ever-present fangirl talking
