Description
This isΒ a tie quilt made out of old T-shirts.I cut up at least half a dozen shirts for each side. One side (shown) are from the scrap bins at my school's Free Store, making an even pattern of strips of rectangles.

Please do! Promote the idea as much as possible - I'm ALL for recycling & re-using in creative ways, and this was one of the easiest and most functional (and most fun) projects I've tried so far.

I am so glad to hear it. I love to hear that recycling/upcycling/repurposing is not really a chore but a creative outlet that one can really enjoy.

Way to recycle! Woot! I started working on a recycled quilt myself... 3 years ago... and it's still in the closet waiting to be finished >.<
I applaud you for finishing, and yes, it's quite good for a first quilt!

This is also the first quilt I've ever made. I was very pleased that it's functional at all
