Commission for . She wanted me to draw Rarity designing Twi a new dress, though I guess this is more the post-design/finished product phase.
I actually had alot of fun drawing this. LuckyWish specifically asked not to draw Twilight's Gala dress, so I had a bit of fun designing the new dress. Of course, since Twi and Rarity's tastes differ, it took awhile to fiogure out. Eventually I settled on something similar to 1920's Flapper skirts, a design with enough of Rarity's flare, yet still reflecting Twilight's simple and practicle preferences.
And I still love Rarity's mane so much. Look at those colors!

Vision: The visuals in this artwork are fantastic, I especially like rarities main. It just has the shimmer to it that only you have been able to capture with ...colored pencil?
Originality: This piece speaks a lot and it's fun for the viewer to piece together what lead up to this point, very wonderful and hasn't been done before..
Technique: Like I said before this looks very well done and I can't pinpoint what the material is...I'm starting to think paint? I'm not sure but i loved the shading and overall color combining
Impact: Very subtle but not to strong, makes you think a little when you look at the details

A stunning piece of art that dragged me in instantly from browsing around! So let's begin!
Vision and Technique (I usually do both together)
Pros: The stage and curtains look a little distorted in a way that brings out Rarity and Twilight, which is just cool in general, and adds a bit of style to it. You have Twilight turned in a way that we can catch glimpses of just about everything. The picture overall is well planned when it comes to emphasis. It also catches the fact that Rarity LOVES to see her friends happy AND her dresses come out so incredibly well! They're both designed well in the scene... except for Twilight's face (Which I'll get to)
Cons: I feel that the shadowing is a bit odd in areas. When I look at the shading and shadowing in a picture I imagine where the light is coming from, and that seems to be directly above them. (I'd assume, as it's a stage and all) but it also seems that there's multiple lights all along the stage horizontally, which would mean that the shading on the side of Rarity's head should be less emphasized. Maybe I'm not getting exactly where you were thinking the light was when you shaded, but to me it just looks a bit odd.
Twilight's face says to me: 'Hey, Rarity, I'm going to slice you open'. It just looks a little bit menacing. The thing that really attributes to this is the eyes. They look a bit empty. I'm not an artist, so I don't know how you would fix that, but I can only tell you what I see in the picture.
Originality:
Dat dress. This is a commission, so I always max it out at 4 because of that, but everything else checks out perfectly. That dress really finished it though.
Impact:
You paint a scene here that people can take out as Twilight and Rarity are good friends, Rarity makes Twilight a dress, and she's really grateful for it. Simple, but combined with the way your portray the characters and DAT DRESS, I give it a 5.

Okay, first of all, let me just say that I think I'm legitimately in love with this. You've got my two favourite ponies, an awesome dress, Rarity going into full-on fashionista mode, and you're the one who drew it?
Be still, my beating heart.
In all seriousness, though, this is one of the best things you've ever produced related to ponies. I could go on praising literally everything until the cows come home, so I'll spare you and instead just go by the categories that DA gives me.
Vision
DA tells me that this has to do with theming and conveying points of view and ideas. I gave you a four because commissions (and this one in particular) doesn't really have themes and ideas, but I think you managed to convey how Rarity was helping Twilight here quite well.
Originality
I gave you a three because it's a commission. You weren't setting out to be original, so it really doesn't apply here.
Technique
Everything about your art style is amazing, especially to a Neanderthal writer like myself with no visual art talent whatsoever, but I took off half a point because of a couple things about Twilight.
Namely, her back legs look a tad too far apart, and there's something about the way the cloth covers her back-right leg that makes it (and thus her back-left as well) look like they've been turned inward. I think it has to do with the fact that we can't see the point of Twilight's back-right hoof, and so the eye naturally processes is as being where her foreleg covers it, which is of course incorrect.
It's very minor, but it's there. I'm not sure how you'd fix it, but I imagine it would have something to do with moving her back leg or something.
Impact
Instant five, mostly for the reasons I mentioned in the first paragraph - my favourite ponies, Twilight's dress, etc.
Aside from that thing with Twilight's hind leg (which is very small), this is honestly perfect. I really cannot tell you how much I love the way her dress looks - it's just so perfect.
