Poor Haku's struggling to sleep...

I finally did something with this drawing! The coloured Haku pose has been sitting in the 'white or clear backgrounds' folder for months now and I've finally gotten round to turning it into a scene.

Here is the lyrics to the song (which helped me come up with the scene):

To get the feel of it, you need to look back at Haku's past - before Rena was born...
Haku once had a lover by the name of Julie - or "Scar-eye Julie" as she was commonly known, due to the scar on her eye - but she died to protect Haku. For a long time after that day, Haku greeved for Julie and was unable to let her go - so much so that he lost a lot of sleep. All he could think about was her and the last words she said to him:
"Haku, promise me you'll find your purpose."
"I'm not leaving you!"
"Promise me!"
"I... I promise Julie..."
"Thank you... I love you Haku."
He found his purpose when Rena was born, but until that day he'd really been stuggling to carry on.

If you can't tell, he's 'trying' to sleep on a pile of gold coins: I got the idea from "The Flight of Dragons". (I love that old film! X3) In my story, 'trained' dragons tend to sleep on soft metals such as gold, but are more than happy to sleep on just about any bedding material or tree branch.
