Featuring: NS Bakkingugaki and Kat

No doubt she's gorgeous, Kat thought to herself as the filly glared at her. They hadn't had a whole lot of issues saddling her but once they got her out of the barn it was a whole different ball game. It was like someone switched on the demon switch. Bakki had her ears pinned back and was trying to kick at Jordanna, who was walking behind leading Cursory. Kat had pretty much taken over the white filly as she'd proven to be too much for Phoebe and Jordanna. Try as she might Kat still was having a lot of issues with her. Johanan was ever so trying to convince her that the filly was too much. But true to her nature, Kat believed the greatest could be brought out in any horse with the right person and the right training. Kat mounted the white filly with the aid of a mounting block. Jordanna had brought Cursory over to the far side of the track to breeze her. Bakki was being even more of a brat than usual. The filly bucked and reared, pawing at the air as if trying to climb to the heavens. Kat grimaced and hung on tight to the twisting filly. Suddenly, Kat felt Bakki go insane, the filly freaked as rain started to fall in the mid winter air. The chilled rain caused the filly to loose her grip on the dirt track beneath her and Kat found herself falling in an trying to manoeuvre her body away from the falling horse. There was one problem. Her foot was stuck in the stirrup. Before she could even so much as scream, the filly landed in the dirt and rolled/fell on top of the jockey. The last thing Kat remembered was a scream and searing pain before everything went black.

Johanan stared in horror as the slow motion fall of the white filly trapped Kat beneath her. He'd heard a sickening crunch and hoped. Desperately hoped, that she was alive. With trembling hands he ran towards the fallen figures. Jordanna was galloping Cursory over to the scene of the crash. She leaped of Cursory's back and frantically called Leo. Leo and his mom were soon on their way to the scene as Claire applied her veterinary knowledge to helping Bakki. By the time they arrived Bakki was on her feet but dazed. Kat's leg was still caught in the stirrup as the petite jockey hung from the side of the horse. Bakki's eyes were wide and terrified as people started to approach her. Claire had a sedative and approached slowly. Johanan was still trembling and his face had gone pale. Bakki reared as the needle went into her neck. Claire fell back and the white filly took off dragging Kat with her. Stumbling, Bakki once again collapsed with Kat partially beneath her.

All that was heard from the rails was a loud wailing cry as Johanan stumbled with tear blurred eyes to where Bakki had finally fallen.
