And here he is! My first Twili OC. I had so much fun with his design, I love it!
Not a single straight male character in my entire OC repertoire. Oh well.

Age: 23 years

Race: Twili

Physical Traits

Build: Lanky, weak, medium height.

Height: 2'10m

Weight: 70kg

Skin: Traditional twili, flowing dark markings, lacks glowing lines.

Hair: Orange with purple highlights.

Eyes: Purple, light yellow "eye white".

Demeanor: Lazy-like, aloof, arrogant manners.

Voice: Slightly higher than normal for his gender and age.

Clothing and accessories: Clothes are black, with glowing purple patterns and golden details. Longs sleeves, covering his hands, are tied with a golden string ending in two round string spheres. He pushes his sleves back over his elbows, when performing magic, tying them with that string. On the borders of his top-most piece of clothing are golden string decorative details. He also wears a dull golden-coloured piercing near the tip of his left ear.

Personality

Aegian is arrogant, but only shows it subtly. He knows how to behave in the palace, and appears respectuous towards nobility and other inhabitants of the palace, to the point of exaggerated courtesy, mocking. Although he is only a servant, he shows elegance, particularly towayds young beautiful women.

Likes: Attention, pretty girls (and sometimes men), secrets, magic, flirting.

Dislikes: Dull people, nobles who don't show respect towards him, being ignored or ridiculed, battles, war.

Hobbies: Aegian only works during dinners or special occasions, so he has a lot of free time. He enjoys taking walks around the palace corridors and outside, and practising his magic.

Talents/Skills: Shadow magic, dancing, flirting.

Hopes/Dreams: Since he was a little boy, Aegian has always dreamed of living like the nobles around him, leaving his damp small room in the servant's section of the palace. He often imagines himself as king, ruling the whole of the Twilight Realm. Presenly, he lives in the palace because he has nowhere else to go, and enjoys the elegant atmosphere, even is felt from the point of view of a servant.

Fears/Nightmares: He does not remember anything about his family, since he was taken into the palace since he was very young. He often wonders about his parents, although he isn't sure he'd like to meet those who abandoned him. He is also terrified of fighting and physical abuse, which he vaguely remembers suffering when he was a child.

Character strengths: Although he can feels intense hatred towards others, he is phisically a very peaceful person, so he'd never hurt a fly (even if he wanted to). He is also very outgoing, sharp and intelligent, and easily liked by those he appreciates.

Weaknesses: Under his confident exterior, Aegian is very unsure and frail. He lacks real determination, born from his fear of violence. Even though he is friendly and extroverted, he almost never makes real friendships.

Other: Although he doesn't consciously realize it, Aegian is atracted to men as much as to women. This often makes him feel confused, and he prefers to ignore and avoid thinking about it.

History/Background

He cannot remember much before his life in the palace, although he has pieces of vague memories. His mother died in giving birth to him, and his father fell into depression, to the point of blaming the child for her death. Aegian was poorly brought up and taken care of, often forced to work and beaten, until his father left him on the streets. Thankfully, this was near the palace, where some servants found the young child and brought took him with them. He developed an aptitude towards magic very early, which gave him a purpose to stay. Although he was unable to use it for battle, he began to work as an illusionist of sorts for the nobility, using his magic to create tricks and alluring shapes and forms.

"Adoptive family": Aegian was found and brought up by a woman who worked in the kitchens of the palace, named Janeria. She was strict but loving, and he was allowed to work only thanks to her, who convinced their superiors. It was her who named him, also giving him her surname. She had always wanted a child, so she treated him like her own.

Friends: None, although he is in good terms with most of the other workers and some nobles.
