Description
Description: An earth-like planet set against the backdrop of a nebula producing blue giant stars.I was going to add another planet or two, but it made the piece seem overly crowded, so I ended up taking them out. The background originally looked totally different, was unhappy with how it was, so reworked it from scratch. All up, took around 15 hours or so, I think.

Ooo! Quiet nice! I do have a couple critiques though. How I'm seeing it, the planet's texture doesn't make the surface seem round, particularly near the edge of the planet. Also, I love those stars. Those are amazing and you should definitely keep using those. However, I do notice there isn't really much of a difference in their sizes. Also, try changing the orientation of the stars so there's some variance and they look more realistic.
Overall, excellent job, dude!

Thanks for your feedback! Your comment about the planet's surface not quite round near the horizon has just given me another idea to try, I will attempt it next time I do another close up shot of a planet.
By the orientation of the stars, do you mean the direction of the 'spikes'? If so, I don't think they should be different in orientation - it would be a technical error if they were drawn this way.
Thanks again for dropping by!

I look forward to that!
Concerning the spikes - I thought about that after I said it, so I just now looked up some pics from the Hubble, e.g. hubblesite.org/gallery/album/nā¦

Maybe they might look a wee bit more interested slanted? idk. Could look like this:

I do notice the spikes aren't quite as sharp, but that may just be the res of the photos.

Oh I think I know what you mean. Yes, it's possible the spikes are at another angle, I just opted to do them around 45 degrees.
And you are right, the Hubble photos are lots of little spikes apart from the longer ones. But, I didn't want them for this particular drawing. Thanks for the links!
