Personality: Riley is confident, athletic and adventurous, being more comfortable in the wilderness than the city. Riley also harbours a strong love for animals, she can tame and coerce larger and more passive creatures, Where Avalanche uses his intellect and intelligence, Riley instead relies more on instinct. However, Riley is still very intelligent, and can be highly insightful into her friends and partners around her and how they are feeling, due to her fascination with animal behavior. Riley also has a strong sense of right and wrong when it comes to saving others' lives, to such a point that when she was at a crossroads between the job that had been her life and the job that Avalanche offered her, she chose to help Avalanche since leaving him didn't feel right. She is very loyal and protective of her friends and teammates as well, being reluctant to leave any one of them alone in the middle of a dangerous situation.
Riley admitted that when she'd first joined the Conservation Group, she personally longed for her old life with Predator Control, but over time, she bonded with her fellow team members and found a new place among them containing the creatures, Riley shed her initial feelings and became a loyal friend and member of the group.

Backstory: Riley grew up on a farm, where she would coil perimeters of razor wire, to keep timber wolves that came out of the nearby forests from eating the sheep. However, occasionally (approximately once every month) Riley would find some of the wolves would have gotten tangled in the razor wire and be forced to chew their own body parts off. Seeing this in turn led Riley to believe in later years that ponies were the real problem with the world and that what animals did was not their fault. They were only following their instincts, doing what they needed to do, to stay alive.

Later during Riley's early life, she began fighting forest fires near Fort McMurry, and later she eventually joined the Predator Control Team in Vanhoover. As a Predator Control officer, Riley tasked with handling wild animals which would stray into Vanhoover, and became close to fellow officer FoxFluff.

She later met Avalanche, when he invited her to ponyville, to help him set up a conservation park for Timber Wolves and other creatures that had been injured, helped and cared for, then tamed and where no longer safe in the wild.
