Description We all love those lazy summer days by the water....and so do gryphons. Just be sure to give them their space. They like drying off on the mossy rocks as much as you do.

Just a super-fast painting to include with my art at MileHiCon.

Watercolor on illustration board, 4X6 inches

Very stunning. U can try to put salt when the watercolor paint is nearly dry & put in the oven (but not turned on) to dry the still damp paint. Salt looks great when it's added to the night sky to make little flurries of stars too. Hope these tips help u a lot.

I can't get ENOUGH of ur very lovely watercolor paintings. I got to try my hand at painting a Gryphon when my watercolor skills are up to speed.

I love the mood of this piece. Even though you did it super-fast there is a generous amount of detail in it. It doesn't seem "rushed" at all. Just adorabel.
Besides your gryphons are love.

You should try some salt on the rocks next time for texture Just add a few grains on the paper when its wet it'll create a nice effect.

I've tried that before, and it is a neat effect. Unfortunately, I haven't had much success with it. I'll have to try it again sometime.

they look so peaceful, but with that hint of playfulness too. Darn your ability to work fast! *shakes fist and sucks on your brain while your sleeping>>*

This reminds me I need to do something involving Valsa, Alahha, and Ry...in a situation that I fear to flesh out thoroughly at the momentXD

Ah, but it means the arrival of autumn days, which are wonderful.

Agreed autumn is my favorite, but this year we had a really bad drought and there was only a week or so of good fall atmosphere.

By the way, what kind of watercolour do you use?

I use an assortment of tube watercolors, both Windsor & Newton and Grumbacher. The great thing about tube watercolors is that they're completely reusable - when they dry on the palate, you just add water and have color again.

Hahahah that's an amusing image -the gryphs randomly getting pounced on just as they're dozing off. XD
