Funny you should mention that, Kennichu. Over at Facebook, someone recommended me to become a fan of Stan Laurel. I already like the Laurel and Hardy duo, think they're hilarious, so I became a fan! It's Basil's smile and heavy lids on the eyes that kind of give him the appearance of Stan.

Ah, the Norfolk jacket, the one we briefly see Basil apply before adding his Inverness coat next. This is a very simple yet lovely picture of our detective. That smug grin has officially won me over.

I was watching The Great Mouse Detective again the other day and thinking how it was much more of a Holmes movie in comparison to the 2009 movie. I think the makers of Basil of Baker Street had a much better understanding of the world of Sherlock Holmes than the makers of the new movie did.
Anyway, this looks great! I love Basil. He is so cute. So are Dawson, Olivia and everyone else in that adorable, little movie.
