CUNNING
Garnet likes to think that her intelligence makes her better than everyone else. She likes to get her way, even if slightly underhand methods are used, causing some pokemon to associate her with rogues. In fact, the charmander could have done exceptionally well in the guild, if not for her undying love for gems and Amethyst's less than roguish personality. She is sometimes too distracted by the finer details and the complexities of her plan to notice easier, simpler solutions at hand.

SELFISH
Always look out for number one, and in Garnet's eyes, she should be number one in everyone's books. At the end of the day, profit is what matters and so she will rarely act if there is nothing to gain for her. The fire type will think of herself before considering anyone else's thoughts and feelings, making her as cold as the gems she likes to collect. Only Amethyst seems to be able to get her to act without the promise of a pile of sparkling stones. However, both pokemon know that Garnet will get first pick of the loot in every mission. She is the leader, after all.

AMBITIOUS
Garnet has many dreams, most of them involving a mountain of precious gems for her to nap on. She will do what she can to reach her goal, which is why she joined the merchant guild. She likes getting paid to do work, though the price really has to be right for her to dirty her paws. One day, she dreams of becoming as big as her daddy and rule the world as a shiny charizard princess. It might take a while, but it will happen.

POSSESSIVE
Do not touch anything that belongs to Garnet. She guards her treasures with her life and will snap at anyone that tries to take them from her. Her treasures include her scarf, a gift from her parents, any valuables she might have, and most importantly, Amethyst. She is especially possessive when it comes to her best friend and will not tolerate anyone harming the nidoran.

SENSITIVE | OBEDIENT | STEADFAST DETERMINED
SENSITIVE
Amethyst has a sensitive soul and takes things to heart rather easily. He is very sensitive about the size of his horn, which makes him look like a female nidoran most of the time, and does not like it when people point it out. Garnet's words of praise mean the world to him and he strives to make her happy.

OBEDIENT
Conflict is something Amethyst tries to avoid, and so he is rather obedient and just goes with the flow, complimenting Garnet's dominant personality. He follows her orders and lets her control him, enjoying the fact that he does not have to think to know that he is doing some good, at least. Knowing she does not judge him and protects him from harm's way, he obediently supports her allows her to lead.

STEADFAST
While Garnet can be flighty and impulsive, Amethyst is more steadfast, taking his time before reacting. He blames part of it for being related to a slowpoke (somehow, far down the family tree), making it hard for him to be whimsical and to make quick decisions. As such, Amethyst has grown used to a steady lifestyle, even though Garnet is quite skillful at disrupting his schedule and turning his world around.

DETERMINED
When Amethyst puts his mind to a task, he will see through it to the end, no matter the cost. For the things he wants and the things that matter to him, the nidoran will hold strong and refuse to give up. When challenged with impossible situations, it is hard for him to walk away, even if it is the more sensible strategy. Most of the time, he simply lets Garnet guide him, but when he does take control he will push himself to succeed.
