The U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-E was ambushed in Fluidic Space in 2408, presumed lost under the command of Captain Data, few know what happened to the ship.She has been discovered by a civilian operated Hideki Class, embedded in a sandy asteroid, initial scans indicate that there are no life signs, power is offline, but the ship seems intact enough to investigate further.

Unclear, no official story has described the fate of the 1701-E after a brief command by Data beyond "lost" to my knowedge, so I went with the idea of "USS Pegasus" and had it stuck in an asteroid, found by a cardassian ship.
