Believe me, it's not good. We had to reinstall Windows, which means I lost EVERYTHING that was on it.

I back all of my files up after something similar happened to me.
I lost over 300 pictures....
Scanning all of them back would take 150 minutes if i scanned them constantly. Not cropping or editing them at all...
Total time of reentering them would be: 5 hours...non stop

Thankfully, I had backups of my drawings and most of my pictures on a flash drive, but I still lost dozens of car liveries I had designed for one of my games.
