How do you abuse the fave for pageviews?Eaaaseeeyyy.
1. Go to http:// www. deviantart. com
2. Go to the Most Recent tab
3. Fave 80-100% of the arts recently posted
4. Wait for "thankees" and new watches :3
How do you recognise a fave abuser?
- Usually they fave your art within minutes of posting.
- When you check their page, you can see 20 other thanks within minutes or seconds of each other.
- When you check their favourites, they'll have everything from photos, to anime, to doodles to screenshots which, upon further stalking would probably reveal most of their posting time to be within the last 10-25 minutes or so
They just annoy the hell out of me when I get them :/

Same, and even then I feel sorry for the artist. I wish an artist could customize what notifications they receive from anybody and customize what specific notifications they receive from specific people, or at least DeviantArt had a better way of condensing fave notifications.

i have seen BLANK DEVIATIONS FAVORITED!!! stinking bots. these people have millions in their fave folders, then delete them later on. long story. ask me about it.

Woot yey~ I'm glad you posted this. I'm guilty of fave-running sometimes, but I do my best to leave honest comments saying what I liked about the art whenever I can, and even when I don't comment, it doesn't mean I don't care bout the work : ) --And I definitely don't fave for views, because I really don't see a point to it x3

I favorite things because I like a lot of stuff and may leave a comment. But I never go to the front page. I check my inbox for great things ^^

The point is someone who goes onto the homepage and fave everything in the newest 3 to 5 to 10 pages in hopes that some of those deviation owners will come over to thank him thus raking him in some screentime and page views.

comments mean WAY more than faves ;] It actually is quite sad how most people 'favefavefave'.. A favourite is something you'll want to see again! A piece of art you don't have to dig up under 20k others...

I think it's okay to say thanks if someone faves your art, kind of a good manner. But to cash on someone's good nature to up your pageview? That's what I'm stabbing at in this stamp^^

I fave alot. I fave the recent post ((if I like the art)) and I like photos AND anime. I am not one category which just has to like ONE type of art. I am not one of those snobby artist who dont want to fave anything and make other people think that I am so good that I dont need to fave. I fave art which I think needs to be fave and which looks good :3. Also I am not one of those who just fave the popular art.

usually people who fave for page views fave practically all the new entries that people post. From decent deviations to crappy doodles. You can usually tell if her last 10+ thank yous are within seconds/minutes of each other
