I'm on fire with art today so I decided to do a little experiment with Chance and Mirai's future babies, Sunflower(Vulpix) and Yuuto (Treecko)

How are a Ninetales and a Sceptile able to have offspring you may ask? Well, in the Pmd world things work differently than in the main games, and regardless of egg group you can see Pokemon like Rampardos crushing on a Cinnchino despite the games stating they probably shouldn't have any attraction at all. So in lieu of that, I like to head canon that while Pokemon in the Pmd world tend to stick to their own egg groups (as it guarantees healthier offspring) its not unheard of for Pokemon of different egg groups to start a family together. Two Pokemon having a family is considered dangerous however, as carrying another species egg can be taxing on the mother Pokemon and also raise chances for defects in offspring.

Luckily for Chance and Mirai, their children only came into the world a bit smaller than usual, otherwise the two of them are as healthy as can be. They are both very proud parents and Chance especially loves staying home with them. In the picture above, they've just hatched from their eggs, and Yuuto has already opened his eyes and is ready to say hi to his mom and dad. Sunflower is still a bit sleepy, so she's happy to lay against her brother as she continues to nap.
