Description
So here it is. The result of my sweat, blood, and many tears. This is a Flash adaptation of a previous tutorial about character design, except this one goes more in-depth with illustrations and additional text and such.I've never used Flash before this, and good grief it almost killed me. I kept it pretty simple, hopefully my Flash skills will improve and I'll be able to do crazy animations and such in the future. But not now. So much work... but it's done! I'm so happy :')
If it doesn't work, please tell me! I'll fix it ASAP!

This is really cool, I've never seem a tutorial like this before. I like how the character gets more features as you click through, I think the Flash format works really well for this.

Thank you very much! It was an essay before, but it was suggested to me to make it in a more visual format. I agree, it works much better this way

This is super helpful! I love your approach of only focusing on one element of the design at a time.

I'm glad that you like it! Focusing on only one part at a time keeps me from getting distracted and allows me to give it the attention that it needs.

Way better than the original! It's great to see the process.
If I had one request, it'd be to find out how to make the arrow keys page through the pages and include that for your next flash-based tutorial. But that's because I'm lazy. A less lazy request would be to make the font size just a bit bigger, since the small text is a wee bit strenuous to read. (Okay, it's still kinda lazy.)
Incidentally, have you seen this ? It's about caricatures, but it has some really gold tips that apply to cartoon character designs just as well. The eyes far apart thing made me think of it.

Glad you liked it! I'll make the text bigger on the next one and I'll se what I can do about getting the arrowkeys to work.
And I adore Tom Richmond!!! ^_^
I have his book, it was a HUGE influence on me, one of the best I ever bought. It really helped me understand that kind of balance in a face, his stuff is just amazing to look at. If only I could be as good as him... -_- But yeah, I really admire that guy a lot!

Thank you! This used to be a written tutorial, but I thought it'd be better in Flash. I like how the characters design turned out too XD. I'm glad you enjoyed it!
