Description I was having an email conversation with my friend DeDonDim ([link] ) about LOTR and Tom Bombadil when he suddenly tells me to "bugger of and go paint Goldberry"!

So in some kind of maniac state of mind this image pops up and I must finish this thing here and now. Anyways, this is the fruit of approx 6 hours of CS3 and Wacom abuse.

Thanks dude, it's late and I'm really tired now...

This is one of the chapters in the novel that I wish hadn't been left out of the movie but they had time constraints & couldn't include everything. Still the time that the Hobbits spent with Tom Bombadil & Goldberry were important to their developments as characters & I'm glad that folks actually read the novels rather than simply watch the movie. You've done a marvelous job in capturing her ethereal beauty

Thanks! It's true, maybe to some people Bombadil is quirky, but he is an essential part of the story.

I'm glad to see that there is fan art of Bombadil & Goldberry. People who haven't read the novel & only seen the movie think I've gone nuts when I talk about that whole episode in the story. Well done with your artwork & keep it up

I am really amazed and impressed at how you get the feel of watercolor. Your stuff reminds me of Alan Lee.
If you ever get motivated to do such a thing, a tutorial of your technique would be nice.

Goldberry's pose is a bit stiff for one who is full of life as a river daughter. However, the lovely colours and texturing suit everything nicely; I just love those trees!
