Man, look at you go. I mean, you've been an artistic badass since the day I met you, but your color skills are just superb now, mate.
Classy work.

In typical fashion, my friend; ups and downs. One of Chris' drivers is now the current National Champ in his class in the SCCA, so that's pretty cool. Hopefully his hard work will be recognized at review time next week. :3
How are you? I miss chatting. :/

Nice to hear about Chris... so how'd the review go (or has it gone? )
As for me? Busy, as usual. Still in Gladstone... real life finally caught up with me and I've had to relieve the Alfetta of everyday driver duties. I need a car just about every day and couldn't take the downtime to have it off the road to do work on it. Practical upshot: new car, pics to come.
Fear not, I still kept the Alfetta too for now... just not sure what to do with it.

Company Christmas party and bonuses handed out Saturday. We'll see what happens. //fingers crossed
Still tripping out on the Alfetta being sort of replaced!
So what's the new daily driver then? I can't imagine you
ever without the Alfetta. :3

*Crosses fingers and toes for you...*
Hmm, bonuses sound nice, I wish we got them (don't ask my why they don't, no one else seems to be able to figure it out either).
As to the new ride, I'm now running this ---> [link]
It's not as involving to drive as the Alfetta, but is certainly a lot more comfortable, quicker... and it's nice to know it'll start first time, every time when you're in a hurry.

I guess it depends on what you're after. In terms of amplifiers (where I use them) solid state will always be more precise. However, I think tubes sound more "alive" if that makes sense. To put it another way: I borrowed a mate's high-end solid state head-amp awhile back. It was clear and precise and sounded great... but I always found I'd turned it off after an hour or so. My tube amp however I can listen to for hours and only turn it off when I need to let the tubes cool down.

Was going to say. I see a bit of Red Army, though her expression is more KGB (blue versus red shoulderboards)

I think the expression may be more Monty just being her usual grumpy self

No Ushanka, huh? Probably for the better, else we wouldn't see Monty's great hair. And I supposed it's been designed by the techs to provide a reasonable amount of insulation in certain temperatures.

No, sadly no Ushanka this time around, but not for want of trying... sadly I couldn't get it to sit right.
Ahh well, next time.
I think Monty's hair is just regular hair in terms of insulation... otherwise it'd just be a pain in the butt in hot climates. To be fair though, your hair provides a not insubstantial amount of insulation anyway.

Totally...
The tube she's holding is actually one I pulled out of my headphone amplifier and copied.

Yeah, I was wracking my brains as to what Monty would wear around remote, cold places... eventually I decided that some sort of Soviet Military Surplus greatcoat would be appropriate as outwear. It's warm, hard wearing, practical and has that ediginess to it that slight edginess to it that I try to put into her outfits.
I loves me some white space... cheers.
