Every Christmas when she was little, Holly would ask Santa for a pony. Sadly, every year she was disappointed not to find her equine prize below the tree. As time went on, little Holly and forgot her Christmas Wish until one fateful year. While getting dressed in her 'Gift' to her husband, she saw there was a present under the tree that had been overlooked. Attached to the present was a note:"Hello Little Holly,
I'm so sorry for missing your letters for the past few years. There was a mix-up with our filing system, and your notes ended up behind my desk. I managed to find them and while there were some wears and tears on the letters, I managed to piece together your wish! In apology, I give you your deepest childhood desire.
Happy Hanukkah,
Santa"
With that, the present popped open and Holly realized there had been a mistake.

Well, if I were her husband I wouldn't object to now having a centaur wife... Of course, after the holidays were over and she had to go back to work there would be headaches galore:
- What to wear when you're now half-horse?
- Driver seats in cars are CLEARLY not centaur-friendly.
- Commuting by bus or subway has their own headaches...
- Riding the elevator is going to awkward, and a little worrisome at first...
- How would going to the bathroom work at work? Clearly she's too big to fit in most stalls, plus how WOULD a centaur sit on the toilet?
But of course, that's concerns for after the holidays. For now... let's just enjoy the centaur-y goodness.

Little Nancy had written a nice letter to Santa.Β But she had a few proofreading errors and asked "to be half a pony" when she really wanted "to have a pony". (Don't you just hate those wonky auto-completes and spell checkers.)
Fortunately Santa knew some really good.. (OK so they seems to end up on the Naughty list each year) make that talented genetic doctors who helped him make Nancy's wish come true. It just took a little work.

Nancy had been VERY good that year. And between development time, and him being Santa, he did wait until she was responsible enough for her gift. Even if the request was a bit unusual.

Christmas miracles can happen anytime of the year. They just tend not to is all. Besides don't we all desire Christmas from time to time? I know I would if something like that was awaiting me.
