Description At loooong last, here's the basic model for the female Livahk worker. This took way too long, but in my defense, stuff came up, for example, the subject of a certain gloomy journal. That really killed off my creativity for a time. But enough talk, let's move on to different talk.

As far as the mole people thus far go, her design has been by far the hardest. She also changed the most from the first version, reflecting the evolution of my overall Livahk concept. I did a lot of thinking about her face and upper body wear especially. Like I said on a previous sketch of her, I really worried about making her consistent with the guys but also adequately female. On that note, steadily making her boobs bigger as I refined the design was a very mature and nuanced decision firmly grounded in complex art theory just like all aspects of her design.

Another aspect of her design I waffled on a lot was her color scheme. It mainly came down to this setup, which felt a bit too cool overall, and one with green, which was perhaps too colorful, and had contrast issues, but felt warmer. Either case met the criteria of consistent colors with previous designs, but after much deliberation and discussion, we went with the scheme you see. The hair color she has was initially just an off-the-wall choice, but it worked surprisingly well and I kept it. So evidently, Livahk are either blond or unnatural shades of red. Ultimately there will be tribal battles, so it's important to keep each tribe in a fairly consistent color scheme.

Those who have been paying attention to past model sheets may notice that her tail is covered. This is primarily a preemptive measure to counter some potential technical issues when it comes time for the model, and may be changed to be an uncovered tail like the rest. Until she's modeled it's a simple change to make. If this does stick, it'll be explained as some sort of cultural gender standard. Barely covered boobs, meh, but only harlots show their tails in public!

The final issue of note is the skirt diagram. Since questions about the layering of the clothes have come up before, and I've noticed some character designers will do simple diagrams of the character's clothes for some reason, I did a simple sketch. But really, I don't exactly see why they will specifically note how this stuff works when the character always wear the exact same clothes the whole game, and even if they do change clothes, you don't see them strip, for obvious reasons. Still, because it has been asked about, and I want to be like the cool kids, the diagram is there. Potential future obsessive cosplayers rejoice! Really, though that outfit has got to be a pain to take on and off because it would all have to go on in a certain order.

i see what you mean, this is very detailed O_O I can see the complexity of her dresses. It was like "how to wear this" and then I just realized it was just her belt for now we haven't seen all.

No, that is her full default outfit. The top is minimal, but the guys' designs don't have any shirts either. Their traditional clothing style is chest-minimal across the board. So those belts are to communicate that idea without actual nudity. And if it helps, this isn't what she'd normally wear to battle, the basic/level 1 gear is just their default walking around outfits. Farming, building stuff, you know, dull day-to-day chores.

Oh you with your crazy showing how things work!

I enjoy the seaming details and connectors like the ring on the back of her head band. Though, I do wonder how those chest straps stay so close to her body....

This simpler palette works too. Maybe you could do an alternate version with the green instead of blue and swap the hair to be blond? Might be a good mix up so not every female villager looks exactly the same.

Harlots and tails? I LOVE IT.

How do the straps work? Through the magic of impractical revealing outfits. Though it is especially strong in fighting games, the power flows through all characters who wear clothing that barely makes them decent. Though for a slightly more serious answer, they are held underneath the torso bandages and then at the top connect to the slightly visible neck collar thing. And though it may not be too clear depending on your individual monitor, the straps have a more rigid thicker leather type material on the bottom half of the boobs. Still it's pretty impractical and one notch above a Felicia as far as recreating it in reality would go.

As for using the alternate colors, I was considering that, and the hair will be separate for easy palette swapping, so blond will likely be the alternate. This is just the default style. Of course, eventually the village will have to be changed up more, so in a long-term perspective there should be more variants for all the basic types. This is just a bare-bones beginning, no way an entire village of a couple of clones would work in a totally finished product.

Really spectacular final concept. The very first thing I noticed was the cooler color scheme, and I really like it. I think that the greys, browns and golds keep it warm enough- and the hair is leaning slightly towards a warm color too. Also, nothing wrong with a sexy figure! I usually have a little bit of an issue with scantly clad female characters, but in her case it seems fine. I find that most of my focus is on the face and then falls to the details in the midsection anyway.

Good to hear you like her color scheme and approve of her attire. You know, with your female perspective and all. I have certain biases, of course, when it comes to such matters, which can make it hard to decide what's really a good idea.

I'm glad my female perspective has not gone to waste. And hey, boobs are always a good decision, it firmly lets the viewer know- "hey, this character is female and there's really no question about that". And the bigger the boobs, the clearer the answer to the question gets.

Seriously, that was part of the reasoning. She's already in pretty similar colors and has the huge hands, which are a traditionally masculine trait. And though the skirt is female, the big guy has a skirt-ish thing going on as well. So I really wanted to push the female aspect where possible, and her chest seemed like a good opportunity, in addition to the hip-waist ratio. And by fictional standards, at least, she still isn't extremely stacked. Just like how by fictional standards, the guys still could be even more burly and chiseled.

Very nice design and concept. I love it when artists explain the purposes of how the costume works or why that's there and so on. Reminds me a bit of Final Fantasy.
