Wow, where to start on this. Over all I like the composition. The pallet works very well with subject and the background.
The pegasus is handily rendered, with a style that merges realism and fantasy well. The details displayed are nearly anatomical in some cases.
The coat is well done, and you maintain the direction of the lighting consistently.
The mane I think could be more blown up and back. With the way the tail and the mane are, it gives a sense that the pegasus is being hauled backward and up by it's wings.
But criticism aside, just from a initial impression, I loved the piece and I'm sure the person receiving it should have every reason to feel excitement and joy owning it.

This is amazing! You can feel the weight and the anatomy totally falls into what the winged horse is doing which is what stunned me... and then the color scheme and composition! I love it!

Jeez your wings are awesome. I love the pose here too, I can almost anticipate the dull whooshing sound when those wings take their heavy downbeat in the next second or two, flattening the grass like a helicopter about to touch ground.

wow it looks so realistic! no just the pose (though that is too!), but the horse~ it has the wild unrefined look- i love it! much better than other drawings of Pegasus where the actual horse looks like its from a racetrack

I suppose they draw the reference from the landing off of a jump--but if a pegasus landed that way the impact would be far worse and likely unsustainable unless the galloped away from it like a 747...
So yes, this makes me happy.

I'm not a fan of digital art. Some of it is nice. There's just too much of it and I feel sometimes left in the dust due to being a traditional artist.
BUT YOU MAKE ME WANT TO PAINT THAT!!

My only crit is that the back left (when standing behind the pegasus) hoof looks a bit sharp, it may looks better if it was blurred a little.
