The British Empire, the United Kingdom, and the reign of Queen Elizabeth II have all come to an end. What emerged from this mostly peaceful collapse? A renaissance for the Celtic peoples, the European Union returning to the British Isles, and what appears to be the final chapter of monarchy in England.

There is no year specified intentionally. Take this as a kind of pulp early 21st century optimism. I have tried to be realistic, and at other points I haven't tried at all. But in the end, this is my attempt at another modest proposal for the future of the United Kingdom: disintegration.
