Picking a single water type Pokemon to draw was difficult. I actually dithered between three. Floatzel was probably the first water type to encounter in the game that I really liked and I happily used him in my Diamond team to surf through the Elite Four. I also considered drawing Psyduck, the Pokemon in the giveaway for the winner. I encountered a Shiny Psyduck on my first Pokemon game (Silver), I was so young I didn't even know what a Shiny Pokemon was! Sadly the internal battery of the game died long ago along with my poor little sparkly duck. I do recall trying to tell my brother the location which I found it so that he could search for it on his game...oh the ignorance of childhood xD We had no internet to search such things back then, so the little Silver duck is pretty nostalgic to me too! But the third Pokemon (the one which I finally settled upon finishing up the drawing of for my entry) is Vaporeon. A trusty Eeveelution. I picked Vaporeon because in the early Gen games it really was the only Water type that I used.

This picture is based off the first competitive Pokemon battle I had with my friend. I was using my Houndoom against their Vaporeon. It really was a battle of the wits. She assumed I had made a wrong switch and that her Vaporeon would be able to take out my Special Sweeping Houndoom. Except I stuck in to set up a Sunny Day so that my Houndoom can Solarbeam the Vaporeon. She uses Scald which does around half damage only to find out that my Houndoom had Weakness Policy so his Special Attack got a giant boost from her attack xD Needless to say she ran for the hills when she realised, taking her little Vaporeon along with her xD So yeah, I suppose battling is the thing I've been doing most recently on Pokemon and this moment stood out to me. So there you have it ^^
