i plan on doing a lot of these maori words to teach myself ! next year i am taking maori (its not a subject at my school) and takatāpui is a maori indivdivual who is lgbt etc. in mordern terms but also means devoted partner of the same sex. im using the modern term in this x,D - you're gonna be subject to these words as ur one of my only new zealands i know on discord > : )
