Much like God disciplined the Jews during the fall of Jerusalem and the destruction of Solomon's Temple.

Thanks!  I really like sketching with color lead.  Especially since blue lead doesn't smear.

I see. I shall see if it works for me.

You bring up excellent points here; however, I do feel obligated as a Seventh-Day Adventist to point out that not all Christians support the Rapture theory about the Second Coming. It's a bit hard to explain without all the reference material, but in simplest terms, there's no real biblical evidence supporting a Rapture other than a typo in one of the verses that's gone uncorrected ever since the Bible was first translated from Greek to Latin; instead, Seventh-Day Adventists like myself believe that we're already living in the days of Tribulation and that the Second Coming isn't just approaching: it's eminent.

Oh, that's right.  I'm not sure what to expect (or if there even will be a rapture).  All I know is it's all in God's hands.  We might not know exactly what will happen, but God does.

Hmm, I haven't done that much deep reading for the book of Revelations yet.  Perhaps it would be good for me to read up on that book?  I'll get to it eventually because I'm reading a section of the Bible every day.

If you look closely at world history since John wrote the Book of Revelation, you'd be surprised to see how many prophesies have already been fulfilled. In Matthew 24:29, Jesus predicted that "the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken", all of which were astronomical events that happened in that order (albeit with a least a couple decades between each) and where at least one of these happened in the 1800s (I'd list the specific dates, but I don't have the data on hand at the moment). In addition, there are mountains of evidence all pointing to a major entity still in existence today as the Beast of both Daniel's prophesy and of Revelation; I won't say just who this group is due to how mind-blowing and potentially unbelievable the identity is, but I have learned that the Rapture theory itself was invented as a means of turning attention away from these facts. Even the "two witnesses" mentioned in Revelation 11:3 have appeared, been "killed", and have risen again.

If you're looking for information concerning the time of Tribulation, don't limit yourself to Revelation; the Book of Daniel has much to say on the subject as well as about the Beast. Personally, I'd recommend Jim Pinkoski's Bible Study comic books from Amazing Facts to get detailed information for specific Bible verses to look for and where to look in history to confirm them; these were how I first learned about these details and, honestly, what got me thinking seriously about my faith:

You do have to pay for the books, but they are worth every penny.

...I apologize if I seem a bit pushy about all this, but I'm rather passionate about this stuff; if you want me to back off, just say so and I'll leave you alone...

It's all good!  Don't worry about being pushy or anything like that.  It's great that you're passionate for these kinds of topics.
