I thought I'd officially write out some stuff for my Steven Universe fan characters. Please forgive me if it seems like it doesn't fit the show perfectly. XD

Character Info:
Just like how the stone is filled with lots of swirls and movement, Charoite's emotions are normally all over the place. She is highly sensitive to other people's feelings and is empathetic to the point that her mood and demeanor will shift depending on the feelings of those around her (for this reason, she likes to stay in small groups because she goes crazy when she's around too many conflicting emotions).

Because she is so in tune with other's emotions, she is a fierce protector of those she has established a connection with. Even though the crystal gems are supposed to be the only ones on earth, I like to imagine that Char and Larimar had been secretly hiding out because they fell in love with earth and people. Also, because I love I imagining that Charoite is secretly obsessed with earth animals because understands how they are feeling and because being empathetic to their feelings is less taxing than gems' and humans' emotions. She can often be found hoarding small creatures like birds and rabbits (I have this image in my head of little bunnies snuggling up in her hair XD).

Char's emotions are also closely linked to her appearance. Unlike other gems who have full control over their ability to transform themselves, Char's form is entirely subject to the levels of emotional energy that she is absorbing. The reference above is her "frazzled" form, when she is around low to medium levels of negative emotion or when is is surrounded by others who are in conflict with each other. When she is picking up on more positive emotions, her hair becomes more smooth, her body shape becomes thinner because she feels like there is less to protect herself from, she may have an altered outfit, etc.

Chaorite and Larimar are extremely close, largely because Larimar's peaceful demeanor helps calm Char's tendency to go crazy from all of the emotions around her. For this reason, Charorite prefers to constantly be in close proximity to Larimar.

Weapon:
I'm still sort of working on this one.
I plan on giving her a double edged/ended sword (or scythe) because her emotional sensitivity is sort of like a metaphoric double edged sword? XD

Fusions:

C avansite(Charoite +Larimar)

When Charorite and Larimar fuse, they reach the hightened version of both of their abilities (Larimar's inner peace + Charoite's emotional sensitivity). Larimar's clarity softens Charoite's volatility and allows their fusion to have acute control over their attacker's emotional state. Consequently, their fusion is highly intuitive (absolutely not to be confused with future vision, for the record). Their fusion's "weapon" is a mirrory face mask/mirror shield that reflects their attacker's greatest fear to lower their defenses. I think they probably need some sort of secondary way to cause damage too but I haven't been able to come up with it yet (especially because this fusion's greatest strength is defensive ability).
I totally get that this probably doesn't sound canon at all, but I wanted them to be somewhat creative. XD
