- I'M DRAWING ART!11!!ONE!!!
I have been struggling with this certain kind of art block which won't let me finish anything. I can starts dozens of new works but when it comes to finishing even one, I find it really hard. My patience has never been really great, haha. So here have this pic I started last year and I just kept being lazy w/ it so today I wanted to get rid of it and abused it with saturation and colours whoops.
Uh anyway, this is my OC Eden!! I forgot his earrings and cape some other small things but hhh.....
Here is his bio charahub.com/character/152433/… also Eden is actually genderless but he (just like Gambler, who is another demon of his kind) is completely indifferent towards what pronouns others use of him. Eden is a very old and extremely intelligent demon even for his own kind, but he has pretty much isolated himself in his library and is bad with socializing and his powers are also a bit rusty. Doesn't have much special skills other than his sharp memory and magical powers gained thanks to his studies.

Ekaa kertaa mitään tällaista tein, panikoin aluksi kun kaikki valoefektitutoriaalit mitä löysin oli Photarin kokoversioille only. Onneksi sain JOTAIN häsellettyä sitten, haha.

Aika suloisen näköisiä hirviöitä tuolla taustalla : D
Pidän tuosta värimaailmasta paljon, sopivasti tummia värejä ja lämpimiä kuten punaista, oranssia. Nuo valorenkaat ovat kyllä jännät, tuntuvat hehkuvan suorastaan.

It's not like I have been away from too long, haha.
I submitted art in the end of December (although I admit I have been super inactive here in general. Now that I have FINALLY cleaned my gallery + journals I think I could start visiting here more often)

I guiltily haven't visited much either xD;;; i've been off romping in a different fandom that doesn't really have a fanbase on dA

I have totally given up when it comes to communicating with fandoms on dA.
Tbh I think I have quietly gotten more distant from every fandom in general, I have learned the hard way I can't keep up with them. These days I just prefer obsessing over small things but not getting in touch with the fandom (unless it's really super small)

Yeah, the fandom I've been romping through is a very small fandom, which might be why I've stayed in it so long xD I don't try to communicate much through dA anymore anyway, since it seems like 1. (as you mentioned) it's hard to keep up with all the new trends. These kidns with their Shingeki no Kyojins and their Kill La Kill and their New Doctors, and I don't even know what @ A @ I feel like an old fogie... and 2. it kinda seems like the new crowd just... doesn't care anymore? there just isn't teh same sense of community on dA as there used to be

Oh yeah, I agree with both! What I have seen, dA is mostly about the biggest fandoms now and the sense of community is definitely lacking. It seems to me that people who are interested in fandoms and interacting inside them go straight to tumblr. dA has just became.... well, an art site. People put their art here but right after that they crawl back to tumblr or whatever other site they use for this kind of stuff! On the top of that many groups here on dA are shutting down because people are switching fandoms or leaving dA.

While it's not a bad thing that people are switching to tumblr, it does seclude dA to just "an art site". If you're not in the hip fandoms, your art has to be CRAZY GOOD, or else no one will even give you a second thought.
At least on tumblr, there's some chance of getting noticed and making friends in your respective fandom.
