Description
First opencanvas painting of 08!I'm trying a more realistic style.
No ref was used for this picture, it's completely original and the background was made by random brush swipes which ended up looking like stairs and a figure in a cathedralish-looking location. So that's what it became...haha
The necklace the boy is holding means "friend"
OpenCanvas 4.5 plus, 4 hours ish with a wacom tablet
Colour adjustments in photoshop

Aww buggar. Well, im using a wacom intuos 3, i've had it about 2 years and it's always worked amazingly and is still in tip top condition. I had to fork out £280 for it but in my opinion if youre serious in digital art it is a very god investment! Saves so much time and produces a far smoother result.
