Step 1!
Draw a circle! Doesnt have to be perfect, just some resemblance of what a circle should look like!

Step 2!
Draw a jaw! I didnt add much detail here, but to be honest i wasnt sure how to explain or break this step down any further, if you need help with the jaw:
-for humans: draw a triangle under the circle (upside down) and connect the circle and head in a jaw-like human fashion~
-for anthro: anthro it depends, but usually for canine/feline/deer type anthros a rectangle works for a jaw, and place the middle of the rectangle on the line of the bottom of the circle~

Step 3!
Guide lines! Generally it is an EVEN cross/plus sign within the middle of the figure, smack dab middle, or pretty close to it *you should curve the line slightly downward to help with the eyes and nose and shading. or upward, whatever floats your boat for the pose you are going for

Step 4!
Eyes! Oh dont go running away, come back here o 3 o eyes are easy! 1st place 3 equally spaced dotted lines in the face, and then place the middle of the eyes on the 1st and 3rd dotted line, and finally place the bottom of the eyes on the middle horizontal plus line you created earlier~ (sorry i know that sounds confusing, but hopefully the visual helps show what i mean)

Step 5!
Everything else! Nose, ears and mouth First draw three equally space horizontal dotted lines on the face. Then, for humans:
-Ears: Middle of the ears should line up with the middle horizontal line, or just above or below, somewhere around that line lol, but to be safe shoot for middle of ear=middle line
-Nose: Place bottom of nose on or around the third horizontal line. In the example i placed just below, because this is a slender elfish male, and i just felt like it
-Mouth: Place line where lips meet between the 3rd line and bottom of chin

For anthros:
Only difference is the ears for anthros. Of course it will vary with species, but generally things with ears are feline/canine, and for those you place where the actual earhole might be, at the 1st horizontal line, lined up. This can go with all species actually, equine, even reptile o 3 o

And there you have it! Add the rest as you may, and the only thing further i could add is maybe the hair:
For hairline, i star usually at the 1st horizontal line~

Hope this helped ! Im sorry my tutorials arent exactly polished, but this is the truest way i draw things like this, so the more i stick to the original wa y i draw it, the better i feel to closest achieve the way i do things MUAHAHA
