i learned from many, many streams, from many, many artists- that is probably the second best thing to just drawing as far as practice, you pick up so much~

I've watched a lot of streams at this point not to mention having an animation teacher as a friend and asking for advice has helped a lot.
More than anything friend's support is huge and I'm using what I showed you earlier as a very large practice piece. I'm planning a background for it, I have the flat color done[for the character](which would have been so much faster if I had taken advantage of the fact I was doing digital art instead of traditional, burning a little over 2 hours on flat color is crazy but I was so focused on what I was doing I didn't even think to just duplicate the line-art layer and fill it will color using the bucket, instead I "painted" the whole thing by hand like it was traditional -.- )
That's mostly why I am taking so long with it, I'm accumulating what I feel is a large level of practice in one piece. One very strange thing that has happened is I've suddenly become confident using my mouse for brushstrokes in an odd mix of pen/tablet, I'm a bit baffled while I suddenly feel at times using the mouse is easier in certain strokes while the pen in others. Before, all I noticed with the mouse, was that it was very tedious but after using the tablet for a portion, suddenly I feel like it's very viable to do far more than I expected.
I'm going to go practice backgrounds now, and maybe once I have the base line-art for it along with flat color. I might just upload(publicly) the WIP and as much fun(and some frustration with correcting the anatomy on the left hand was, I'm looking at you sausage like pinky >
I even had a friend asked if I traced it and that padded my ego a rather large bit as well as a brief "Now listen here you..." in the back of my head.
