Darkleaf is my dragonsona, his traits and story are based partly on my own life.

Species: Rainwing/Nightwing hybrid (Based on Wings of Fire books)
Age: 35 in human years
Gender: Male
History:
Darkleaf was conceived from a secret union between a Nightwing father and a Rainwing mother. He was hatched and raised into the Rainwing community, but because he was not fully a Rainwing he did not fit in. He has spent many years in lonely isolation, never knowing quite where his place in the world is. When the Dragonets visited the Rainwings, Darkleaf met Clay. He was so humbled by Clay that he decided to change his ways and try to become just like his new hero!

Personality:
Darkleaf is thoughtful, patient, kind, and compassionate. He is also very sensitive and socially awkward, and is easily hurt by others. He loves music and can often be heard humming a tune or making his own strange music deep in the jungle using his marimba. He also loves to fly and soar high up in the skies where he spends much time thinking about things. He can often be found sleeping in the sunlight, like most Rainwings. Finally, Darkleaf also loves Rainwing culture, and believes that the Rainwings alone are the only tribe that managed to find a peaceful and just way of life. He often feels left out and desperately wants to find a way to fit in with the rest of the tribe. He hates violence, suffering, and death, and he will never fight unless he has no other choice.

Physical Characteristics and Powers:
Being a hybrid, Darkleaf does not have a breath weapon, nor does he have any of the Nightwing powers. However, his scales do absorb light to give his body some sustenance, and they will give off a green glow which is brighter depending on how much light he has absorbed lately. He can stop the glowing only momentarily if he concentrates very hard, and he can also control the color of his spots but otherwise they will change color depending on his mood. Darkleaf is physically weak. He has exceptional hearing. Like other Rainwings, he is a vegetarian, subsisting mostly off of fruit and sunlight.
