That's something I deal with in my own fractals too. Sometimes I can crop-undo crop-crop until I'm satisfied. And then sometimes somebody will still tell me I have either too little or too much negative space.

Nice colors! I really like the energy of this fractal. I think you could've placed it better, though. Looking at the small view, it seems to drift to the left, with a lot of negative space towards the right. If you zoomed in on the action (and hence eliminating all of the negative space), this would be much more striking.
