Bad scan? Heh i thought it was alright the "gradient" gives it impact and depth 
I'm also seing a patter here, i've seen about 19 amazing manga artists and they've all been female O_o.
I've tried manga myself and my stuff turns out ok, really mediocre but i mean, never anything like that^^.

lol, since i couldnt get rid of those 'gradient' so i decided to manipulate it
...practice, I would say...If only I was born with the talent, then I wouldn't get frustrated
