Description
First of another series I'm doing of aquatic-like creatures that don't necessarily belong in the water. This creature resides beside bodies of water in order to find bottlenecks for fish so they could easily catch a meal. They have similar behavior patterns to bears but they have a life cycle more similar to that of salmon or other similar fish. They have offspring that go through a nymph stage where they have no legs but fins instead that they use to swim through the thick air (I'll draw one of these later).
These creatures tend to stay in the same area because they are very territorial but if they are forced or end up leaving their territory they easily shift into very aggressive animals with eventual changes in their colors and physiology.
Hunting This Creature: They are very docile unless attacked but they are very strong. They have very slow movements at first but once they strike they are very fast. This is also similar to their locomotion patterns: slow at first but they can dash at a quick pace.
Taming This Creature: Food, use food to gain trust in this creature but also show that you are strong by challenging it to a sparring match once it trusts you enough. Survive the sparring match and you may have made yourself a new partner.

They are about the size of an earth bear but definitely smaller.

He'd make a pretty suit of armor. Not to mention quite a few pretty weapons.
