What I mean by darker and mysterious is my OC's demonic or evil version of his character *Just like Luna to Nightmare Moon*! His name is Prince Vladimir [link] [link]
His demonic version has created a sick and twisted equivalent world to the pony's known world! he has created thes monsters to replace the regulare ponies in the world *demonic versions of each pony* Vlad experiences illusions and nightmares created by his demonic character and face up to them someday!

Wow your OC is an alicorn, must be pretty sweet to have all that power..... of course it also sucks cause the evil-er version of your OC has that same power and more lol xD
But wait, if he has a demonic version like Luna. Then wouldn't that mean that your OC is currently in the demonic state. Seeing how Nightmare Moon came first and then purified by the elements of harmony. I have been critizied that my pony seems a little too perfect by one person in particular but so far the girls like my OC ! Goes to have a good looking male OC he needs to look like a girl * XD ahahahahhaa naw just kidding, all OCs are cool!*
Demonic Vlad is a monstrous version of Vlad that was made by the dark magic used when he was younger *to fix his magic: broken horn = No magic* Like Luna, Vlad has faced many hard ships but some worst then Luna's banishment! Guilt-Vlad was Luna's best friend and he abandoned her and she became Nightmare Moon! Luna had no friends when Vlad left to find a new home, so lonelyness, fear, and jealousy poisoned Luna as she became nightmare moon!
Demonic Vlad *Ill name it VD for short* uses that guilt to turn it into sadness which powers DV! DV tortures Vlad by using depressing and horrid nightmares *BTW Vlad barely ever sleeps - story will reveal why* and Illusions by day to manipulate Vlad and make him lose his sanity! Given by the dark magic used, no magic nor medicine can destroy DV, he must be encountered physically or spiritually!
When Vlad loses his body to DV, he transforms into DV like Luna into Nightmare Moon! DV has black ink splattered eyes and sharp pupils like Nightmare Moon and wears no army but a large cloak *similar to teh grim reapers*, is much taller then Vlad as well as have a deeper and more echoish voice!
Vlad must destroy DV in the horrid world DV created! he must also eliminate all demon hell spawns *demonic ponies* as well as DV! Vlad uses everything from knives and wooden sticks to swords and musketry *or guns as you may call it*!
Celestia, Luna and my little bro *Prince Arbiter :iconToxicstorm117* ahve to face DV! They tried to use the Elements of Harmony but >>>> Not effective to they tried magic and >>> not effective either !
But in the end Vlad gets out of DV's horrid and sad world and escapes to face up to DV! Celestia, Luna, and Arbiter were all confused! But then Vlad physically fights DV with Blades *Sword fight* But at the end Vlad chokes out DV and in other words killed himself>>*Demonic Vlad*XD! After this all Celestia, Luna, and Arbiter finally understood all of Vlad's torment!
It is all gone, no more sorrow. Vlad's horn fully regrows back witnall his powers. They were all overjoyed and happy >>>>> Celebration! Still more lies ahead of Vlad, this was just a first step for him what comes next is well you just have to read his story to find out! I think I have spoiled enough! XD Well......................................

well I must say that I personally don't approve beings that are on par with Celestia and Luna as they are suppose to be the strongest. But i think that it fits a bit...... my only concern is that, if this DV is suppose to be Vlad, then wouldn't that mean that killing him meant killing himself, so then your OC existence ends there? Nightmaremoon and Luna are the same person, just got purified by the elements of harmony so you get Luna. If the elements of Harmony don't work then, logically Vlad shouldn't be able to return to normal or anything. Then again this is in the magical world so logic = magic.

Well Vlad is royal and is an alicorn but he isnt at all perfect unlike the princesses in Equestria, back in Haseraque *Vlad's home country 'much more different then Equestria - Not as peaceful plus is at war' Vlad is considered a military as well as a religious leader due to royal blood! Often his royal guards have more tech and often look similar to the GIGN [link] except with metal armor.
Vlad inherited many of his fathers moves as well as strategies and armory *armor/weapons* The people in Haseraque see Vlad as a leader but not a god like the princesses in Equestria. But in Equestria he is treated like a god, which disturbs him quite a bit considering he does not feel or believes he is due to his own religious faith!
DV was created by dark magic which means its another entity of him but is truely a part of him! But even though it seems Vlad destroyed DV, it is then learned that he is an eternal monster and can never be killed * GOD DA$# i$* But since DV is not essentially Vlad anymore or a part of him like he used to, he can now be trapped or BANISH in another realm because it is too dangerous to send him to the moon like Nightmare Moon.But still even though DV was banished, he still feels DV'S dark presence around him sometimes.
Yadadada da He can now walk the world with a much lighter burden and not look as sad as he used to be. But the question still remains is there going to be a love story between Luna and Vlad, I still don't know, it is very possible one person commented but I have not even completed the story yet and it is still in progress!

Anyways, I don't like characters like DV, who are immortal. Like is that really even fair? Kind of like Superman. Way too overpowered. But the way you make it, it seems like Vlad will succumb to DV and become him once again. Which again leads to the overpowered nature of the character. That he can get around the "only" means to get rid of him. Though this is just trying to take a guess about what the future might be....

DV is not a immortal but somewhat of a shadow as you can say, like if you don't believe in him anymore or think of him he will disappear from existance. So he actually can die. oh and FYI Superman can die >>> comics! LOL
Vlad actually needs to just stop believing he is a bad influence, a monster, or a evil leader and start looking at the bright side and actually recognize he is really a good pony.
Nothing can stop him from being good even though left alone and very stressed he still has the strength to stop all the sad thoughts and only look forward then DV will be no more. Vlad's story is actually meant to have a very sad ending but from what the comments people had posted that he should or shouldn't have a sad ending, people say it should be a more happier ending.
The future is very cloudy and no one can predict what could happen, you just need to move along and make the best out of life.

Well I know about a bit about endings, I have 2 possible endings for a story I'm working on. One of them is very sad, and the other one is more happier but still kind of tragic (i don't like pure happy endings). I think you should go with the sad one, more people respond to those lol XD

I changed his story up to actually blend into the MLP FIM universe or fit Apollo Vladinir >>>> New name. less scary and gore, more madness and despair. I had to change the story again because I changed up my character a little. He is now just a misunderstood character! Nothing violent or scary! anyway that whole story I just told you I just trashed because you are correct that it seems a little too impossible with demon who is like a god. He is no longer a demon but a shadowy figure named Dark Void. Vlad is prince of the stars and fights a more likely shadow of his former self who manipulates Vlad on whats good or Bad. No more too over powered/ god like Vlad or Demon. More like Lost,Confused, and Broken Hearted Vlad and Shadowy,Mysterious,and Haunting Dark Void.

Well I welcome changes to stories or writing assignments. Its good to improve on w.e it is you are making until you got something solid. I think you managed to find a good groove for your character. But remember too far of a change makes him lose his villainous nature. And then he isn't as evil as needed to be the main villain.
