Description
Scribble is the first in a six part OC series for , so she comes in a pretty basic pose. It's been relaxing working on this series (Three down so far, just haven't posted them.) while I work on figuring out some designs for a fennec fox piece I have coming up. Lots of OCs in the near future, so I'm going to be working on improving my ears and continuing to work on my legs. It was pretty nice to be able to cut out the entire silhouette for once. It seems like ages since I've been able to do all four legs without excessive use of other other tools.
Unfortunately, those blasted knotholes rather spoil the piece. They couldn't be seen from the outside surface of the wood or else I would have tried to position the body around them, instead I stuck one smack dab on the face. Oh well, these things do happen I suppose. There seem to be a lot of them in the block I have; I wonder if that's normal for maple, or if I just have knotty piece. Never worked maple before, so I don't really know.
