People have been querying about tutorials, and so while I was working through this I video recorded myself Colouring that Flareon (->clickhere!<-) in the hopes that I could turn it into a decent tutorial... It's not quite a tutorial but it may help (somehow?). Sometimes works best when sound is off.
So page two features another another hastily drawn, super budget Explosion, 0% backgrounds, and some one-hit-KO's... yay.
Hopefully it's easier to follow then previous ones though; at the last minute I wiped all the bloody layers, so if a panel looks a little bare... you can blame the people who complained about the gore.

A couple of comments about it so: I know that in the GAMES toxic doesn't affect Steel types... but we're not playing the games, this is sheepis world and he says when a little spider dumps 2 litres of nuclear waste into your eyes... it stings. Go; try it at home, I dare you.

There are a few Spinarak/Mawile panels that I really like how they turned out, but I think the Flareon entrance is my favorite part as well.
oo yess and I did record the flames, I'm wasn't sure whether to bother with the video since I'm not sure if I liked how they came out... But if you enjoy them, then once I've finished with this round I'll annotate that one too and stick it up on youTube; though the making them process make NO sense at all... so it will be an amazingly crappy video xD!!

xD lots of people seem to like my accent, but I think it's only because you NEVER hear New Zealand people on the TV or anything; compared to other people down here though my voice is pretty boring. It probably doesn't help that I recorded that at something like 5am as well xD!!
haha I really need to get better at doing flames, they still don't come out right a lot of the time, and it's hard to record it because I go back a lot and erase and redo everything; for a tutorial I really need to get it right first time... which is something I'm not great at.
I'll get more practice on them on the next page though, since I'm going to be using them quite a bit on the earlier panels. (right before I muuuurrrrder that Flareon!)
ooo and the wallpaper... It's from an art trade I did a few Months ago with =Teotocchi .. (she drew me and I drew her) it's been my wallpaper for nearly two months, she just did such an amazing job on the picture and I'm yet to find something that works better xD!! Original: [link]

Dude that Mawile is hardcore, I like how you drew it, and better yet how you defeated it. My favourite panel I think is just the one with Kylie's face where she's saying "Put it out of its misery", very sexy.

haha I realized once I was finishing up that the whole idea of Mawile is to make it all harmless and cutesy looking... so all my muscling up the arms and giving it teeth and everything is completely going against the whole idea of it xDD!
oo and that's an interesting favorite panel, I really dislike my panels with people in them, I think the only one I've done that I'm partial too is the R1-P5 with Kylie throwing Puff.... though that's only because there's no face to ruin it!

Using toxic was rather wasteful, after all, steel pokemon like mawile are immune against all poison moves, just thought you should know. Great comic otherwise.

ahh yes, I took that into account, and I meant to make a note of it in artist comments. The underlying idea in this tournament is to push the Pokemon and make these battles 'creative'; to use the "rules" set by the games more as guidelines. It's a little bit like how in the anime Pikachu can use electric type attacks on ground type Pokemon. They're not as strong, but they're not completely ineffective.
haha and I figure regardless of what you're made of, if someone pours 2 litres of toxic waste in your eyes.... it's going to sting.

Awesome perspectives and detail, I've always wanted a more teen oriented pokemon series and thought it's no t.v show its definitely a close second.
