It's funny. Because it's kind of the situation I'm with a friend of mine. Except it is more that he is afraid of hurting my feelings ^^
However, I love the font and the angle you choose the drawings.

Kage smiled in that last panel!!!!!!!! and its so adorable!!! i love them and the fact that Torin refuses to let Kage's silly little thoughts like that deter him, lol, heck its only motivation to make sure Kage is proven wrong and learns he is worth loving!!! *huggles them both* i do love them so much lol.

My brain has just turned to goo.
Personal favourite panels: 2 and 4. Also, crooked smiles of confidence and WTF-pouts FTW.
There are some really interesting choices in colour and backgrounds going on, panels 4 and 6 for example, as well as their speech bubbles. Aside from colour-coding for mood and personality It really helps distinguish the speaker for each set of dialogue. Well, aside from the three yellow-ish speech bubbles. They're both using those. (And each of those only contain one more.)
The panel that stood out the most was 4, probably because of its monotone colour scheme. At first I thought "Ooh, doesn't fit," but the more I look at the panel on its own and then the entire image as a whole, the more I like it. Aside from the extra emphasis on Kage being determined to turn down Torin's feelings, I think it visually strikes a pretty strong chord. When I looked at that panel I immediately got a "cold-shoulder" like vibe. So while that particular panel is definitely different, I think it works in its own way.

Yeah, I was wondering about that monochrome panel and how it stuck out, but I couldn't see how I could make it different. But, I'm glad the fact that it doesn't quite fit makes a statement instead of just being an eyesore.
