these prison locks are ridiculously easy, for something so hard to break. You don't know pain till you're down on the floor clutching your heart and soul together as your mind goes bat crazy with your head, reeling, melting, breaking down to cherry powder. Til you're down on the bathroom floor screaming whispers of "Eloi, Eloi, Lama Sabbachtni".

and you don't die.

It's so unfair, you think you've lost it all and then they take your mind. You think they've taken everything and then they take your body. You think they'll take everything and then they leave you just your heart in a doll's frail body and the soul of a skewered harlequin, misplaced button eyes, cross-stitched immobile joints.
