History

When Cloudpaw was 9 months old, her father, patrolling too close to the edge of their territory, unfortunately caught the sickness and lost his state of mind, alongside three other members of the clan. Her sister was one of them. Emberstorm had a natural gift for fighting, she was appointed to warrior tasks before Cloudpaw did, so that Moonclaw saw a powerful ally in her and took Ember by force. They haven't been seen ever since. Cloudpaw, who was struggling to perform the most basic of battle tactics due to her long, uncoordinated legs in the meantime and her mother, Robinsong, were at the campside when the incident happened. The thought of the most loyal cats betraying their clan because of the sickness and illusion of incredible power terrified Cloudpaw ever since, while her mother grew more pathetic and sad every single day. Drowning in her own pity, Robinsong retired and moved to the Elders Den. The loss of her beloved mate and daughter was to much to handle, so she eventually neglected the relationship to her other daughter Cloudpaw.
Cloudpaw quit her training and became more reluctant and bitter, lacking someone to look up to, someone to share a deep and motherly bond with. She couldn't accept what keeps happening to innocent lives. She has always been admiring the work of Briarlight, Chimeclan's medicine cat. Ever since Cloudpaw could think she lost against Ember in those meaningless tussles as kits, and even in more serious fights in training as apprentices. It wasn't unusual for her to get frustrated and escape the training sessions. To calm herself down, she tried to tell all the herbs and plants she could find in the camp apart and eventually found serenity. All the knowledge and responsibility a medicine cat had to carry impressed Cloudpaw, so she wanted to learn more about her work and help Briarlight cure those infected by the Sickness.

"I'm not "branded" by what happened. I see it as an ... opportinity." Cloudpaw squinted her eyes in thought of her former sister. Her claws extended, she let out a deep growl as she thought of the times where Emberstorm stole her spotlight. "I will leave my mark in the world. One way, or another."
