hahah you did a good job. What I recommend is going farther with the white pencil and using darker shades of brown as well, over the smoothed down brown that you made with the white. I know it'll look funny but with enough doctoring between your pencils you'll get a smooth, less grainy look. :3

kinda like what I did here.. [link] :3 if you wanted an example of how I work the pencil. Also, I've personally found plain crayola colored pencils blend the easiest with white than say.. prismacolor in my personal opinion. 8D happy penciling!

oh you could add carefully more and more and take a look at it to see if its as dark as you like x3 I recommend practicing on things you don't mind messing around with.
