Ohh, nice! It's such an interesting apocalypse concept
But I was wondering - maybe it was said in the comic but I can't find it: how long did Caps stay in the shelter? I have the impression that the others were already living together for quite some time and if that's the case I'm curious what he was doing in the shelter all that time.. And also how he lost TWO FINGERS but maybe I just need to wait as the story unfolds haha

The fingers are explained later in the story so you just have to wait (A LOT)
The shelter thing is more complicated, the squad hasn't been living together for more than three months and it's been something around a year since the apocalypse. Its barely enough time to get the planet ajusted and calmed down after the giant ass meteorite hit, also most of the european middle-class shelters were pretty shitty and Caps wasnt the richest guy (he's family was struggling with money basically) and in those kinds of shelters you don't really know when to get out so the more you wait the safer you are. That's basically it : D
