Contest entry for the groupThis is the first time I ever enter a dA contest XD but the prize is good enough and since I'll be entering my vacations in a couple of weeks, I gave it a try, if I win a subscription ill be having tons of fun here mwhahaha
At first I wanted to do Shuuichi as Autumn and Youko as winter, but for some reason i don't really like drawing Shuuichi XD and I wanted to give Yukina a try, I never drew her before.

A stunning piece, absolutely beautiful work. I love the movement in this piece both in the wind blowing from Youko's side, to the hesitant pulling away Yukina is posed in. The colouring is also something to be marveled at; not only in how softly you coloured each character, but in how you managed to blend those contrasting sets of colours with out making it overpowering on the eyes. I wasn't sure what to think of a piece containing Youko and Yukina at first, but considering the elements they work very well together. It's also interesting to see the contrast in characters... Youko has a colder personality but is on that warm earthy background with the gold and red leaves, and Yukina has a warmer personality but is cold in her elements. It's just something I noticed, I'm crazy like that. However, as I said this is an absolutely fabulous piece of work and I can definitely see why it took first place in the contest

I love the autumn/winter theme so much, you did such a great job blending them together (and they're both my favorite seasons! >w< )
XXD I'm really glad you ended up doing Yukina as winter ( Not that I have a problem with Shuuichi/Kurama) But Yukina is my favorite charater! (Hiei too! I mostly just love anything with those two together, they're such cute siblings!

Youko really stands out in the fall leaves. I like this a lot, but for some reason I feel like Yukina has her "I'm about to get raped" face on... but I love her eyes and hair texture.

XD, yes, I suppose so... except when she's got her "I'm an ice maiden, and if you get one step closer the temperature's going to drop so far your balls will freeze and fall off" look.
