HTF means Happy Tree Friends a gore cartoon series where furries would get killed in gory horrific ways just doing ordinary everyday things. There's even a stupid moose named Lumpy whose actions cause many deaths. The same characters get butchered over & over & over.
I suggest you check the Wikipedia for a full explanation, links to the cartoons -if you can deal with the graphic explicit content ...
Bullwinkle was blown to bloody scraps. Rocky seems to act as if it's happened repeatedly ... I do not recall Bullwinkle ever getting scragged in his attempts to do magic.

Yeah, I don't think Bullwinkle ever got his comeuppance tempting fate with his hat trick. At least, not in family friendly 1950s TV land that is. But on the internets, anything is possible! X3
