The combination of the cannons is kind of haunting- why wasnβt the cannon replaced for the modern shell? Because the battle never ended. I like the medieval gambeson, the renaissance cannon with the modern shell. By chance are you interested in fortification design? There was some definitely some pretty interesting designs- star fortresses & trench lines go well together. And what i definitely find interesting are flak towers- built in WWII for anti-aircraft and civilian defense- yet their tall towers had a very medieval looking element- Iβm really surprised they havenβt been plugged more into fantasy like this, they could theoretically be a holding place for the helicopters of the time if helicopters were used earlier or to hold in zeppelins if those air-ships were used later.
